Product Stats and Appraisal:

Right – so by now you should be up to speed on what it is this product does. The next question is – is it any good?
In answering this we turn to statistics. All the products we review use the same payment processor. They provide statistics on all the products they list.

There is some secret sauce involved, but essentially I make an estimate of the products refund rate. This is because all the products sold via Clickbank have an affiliate program, and the affiliate program provides statistics on the estimate amount to be earned per sale of the product. If you know the product price, you can work out the refund rate. It can be wrong if the price changes or if multiple different products are sold from the same account, but it’s still the best we have.

We use the stats to produce two quality indicators: buyer frenzy and buyer satisfaction.

Buyer Satisfaction:

We have given this product a buyer satisfaction rating of 89.06/100 which is pretty high – it means that approximately nine in ten people were satisfied with their purchase.

Buyer Frenzy:

Buyer Frenzy Rating is an indication of how much interest there in a product – a bit like the product’s sales rank. A high frenzy rating means that customers are going mad for a product, buying it in droves every day. Products with a high frenzy are very often quality products.

Auto Article Profits has a frenzy rating of 79.72/100 which is about standard – the frenzy levels haven’t reached fiver pitch yet

2016-AUG-08; Op-Ed article Low Minimum Wage Means Taxes Subsidize Wealthy Corporations by Mark Bauer in the Star Telegram..
Special to the Star-Telegram.
The CEO of McDonalds got a 69 percent raise last year. Steve Easterbrook made $1.1 million base salary with a bonus up to $1.7 million. Even if you have never purchased a McDonalds product, your tax dollars are a portion of these increases going to Easterbrook and every other CEO in the service industry. I?m picking on McDonalds but, like all of the U.S. corporations, there is little pressure to pay a living wage to the service industry workers..
Right now, Americans are working full time, sometimes two or more jobs, and they are still falling below the poverty level. These full-time workers are eligible to receive food stamps, welfare checks and other community assistance..
My wife works for our local church and manages the benevolent fund. She is very good steward of the church?s money, and she is stringent about the rules and requirements for those requesting assistance from our church. She checks things out. After the need is verified, the money goes directly to the rental property or gas station ? she doesn?t just hand out cash. A common scenario is that a husband is sick and can?t work. But a new phenomenon is occurring more frequently ? adults in McDonald?s uniforms are crossing the street on their break and showing up at our church for help. .
The average ? not lowest ? hourly pay for an employee at McDonalds is $8.50. They are living in poverty. If they get sick, they can?t pay the rent. If their car breaks down, they can?t get to work. We know how it is supposed to work in a capitalist society: workers leave the low-paying job and move to a new employer that pays a higher wage. In the perfect capitalistic world, corporations compete among themselves by increasing pay to obtain these workers..
But the system is broken. Corporations are taking advantage of our decency and letting their workers live in ?tolerable? poverty due to the safety nets provided by our government and charitable institutions..
There?s another remedy other than raising the minimum wage: Allow workers to collectively bargain, through a union. Corporations have spent decades and millions of dollars to dismantle unions, using political influence including supporting anti-union politicians who approve more stringent anti-union state laws and appoint more conservative judges who have ruled against unions. These efforts have been very successful. Union membership has gone from 33 percent of workers to only 10 percent today in less than 50 years. Conservatives who whine for the ?good old days? rarely mention that is the time when unions were at their peak, creating a large and robust middle class through collective bargaining. Corporations have no incentive to raise the minimum wage without pressure from a union. And now they hope that no one will notice that our tax money and charitable giving is subsidizing their worker pay..
TCU economics professor John Harvey showed that the historical records prove that increasing the minimum wage has no serious lasting impact to the unemployment rate. Microsoft executive George Santino published recently that raising the minimum wage doesn?t really matter since employers would pass the cost on to the consumer. It is a better economy when consumers pay the true cost of goods rather than having products subsidized by taxes and charitable contributions. Americans are a decent people. Raise the minimum hourly pay and we?ll gladly pay the true cost of our neighbors? wages..
Mark Bauer is president of the Northeast Tarrant Democrats..

Article by Guy Tal

Creativity is an expression of subjectivity. In other words, a work of creative art will be biased towards representing the unique sensibilities of its creator, as Guy Tal explains

My great creative passions are photography and writing, and every so often I like to draw parallels between the two. Of particular interest to me are things derived from the maturity of each pursuit, in part manifested in the acceptance of established variations and sub-categories. For example, any reader will know to make the distinction between journalistic reporting and creative writing, and to apply different criteria in their appreciation. The same distinction doesn’t quite apply in the minds of most consumers of photography, where an image presented as creative often is expected to maintain still a high degree of objectivity and factual representation.

Creativity is an expression of subjectivity. In other words, a work of creative art will be biased towards representing the unique sensibilities of its creator. It is curious, therefore, to encounter photographs presented as ‘fine art,’ where the photographer also proclaims their faithfulness to the subject ‘as seen.’

Of all human pursuits, art is perhaps the most subjective; from the things that motivate someone to create a work of art in the first place, through to their choice of tools, composition, style and presentation. Everything about art relies on subjective choices made by the artist; separating their work from that of others.

In truth, subjectivity in art is not an either/or quality, but…

Free Content • Introduction to Lightroom

Article by Dimitri Vasileiou

For some people, Lightroom is one of the best things to have been developed for the photographic community; it is a most amazing piece of software that keeps all files organised in one place. For others, it has been a bad experience.

I have heard sad tales from people who downloaded the trial version, installed it, opened it, then disliked it intensely and banned it from their lives. So, what on earth is going on and why should there be all this controversy and division? The answer is very simple, lack of knowledge.

Some say that Adobe should supply a DVD with video tutorials with every purchase; others that there are DVD tutorials available already that can be purchased privately. The problem is that most people do not know where to start; where to find video tutorials and which to buy.

Having used Lightroom for a while, I find it to be a very easy, straight forward marvel of technology. The point is, finding out where and how to start.

In this tutorial, I will showcase how to start and of course how to use Lightroom. My approach will be very simple and easy to understand, not just by those who are computer literate but by those without much computer software knowledge. Advanced users may find my way of explaining Lightroom somewhat simplified, to say the least, but if this is what it takes for people to understand how it works, then so be it. However, I will assume that everyone will be able to download and install the programme…
